Darrien’s website is finally back after some technical diffuculties… Now running on his very own server 🙂
A walk in the park…
Well no parks actually, but here some photos that I took during some of our walks and meals throughout the month of October.
Halloween 2011 in a word, Ghostly!
We had a really nice time with all of our Halloween activities this year. We went to the pumpkin patch in Lathrop, got and hollowed out 5 pumpkins, made 4 Jack-O-Lanterns (do the math), made a really cute little ghost costume for Darrien, went Trick or Treating near downtown, and even got back in time to hand out some candy to the local kids. It was quite the success when it was all over. And there there was that special moment that everyone has been waiting for. The CADNY! (ah yes, there was candy). Though I expected that Darrien would shove the whole thing in his mouth like a starved monkey, he actually savored and inspected his candy. For the first bite anyways… After that, his mouth was stuffed with that one morsel of candy until his cheeks looked like a chipmunk with a winter’s worth of nuts to hide. Take a look for yourself ![]()
New Pictures of Darrien
We took some new pictures of Darrien with a new, and much more powerful camera. I’ve scaled these images down a bit; as the originals are 14MP. Here’s a small selection of the best of the lastest pictures.
Darrien cruisin’ around the block with ‘mater! :D
We took Darrien for a quick stroll around the block with Tow-Mater. Here’s some pics, and a giggly video too!
Visioneer Family Luau
Well Darrien had a great time at the Luau. A special thanks to all of those who were able to take a moment and say hello to him. He started off the afternoon pushing his red wagon in circles. We then moved to another area of the patio, where he continued to push it in circles. He sure wore himself out. He had to eat my Macaroni and Cheese to recover his strength. (not to mention that yummy potato salad that he allowed me to share with him)
Once he had replenished his energy stores, he retuned to the task at hand. And the wagon was pushed some more.
After a short and union regulated cookie break, Darrien took to pushing the wagon from the back. This of course lacked the maneuverability of side push method resulting in only a few squished toes. :: Sorry ::
We managed to navigate to the center of the patio where Darrien resumed the circular pushing for a while. Finally tired of pushing the wagon, he had to come show me how excited he was about that hat that he found on his head!
Rearranging the displays at the store.
While at Target tonight, Darrien decided to rearrange the candy section. Ubeknownst to me, and the Target employee who stocked this area, all the candy is actually supposed to go on floor infront of the shelves!
Cha Cha Cha’s
A quick outing to SF for lunch at Cha Cha Cha’s on Haight. Great tapas place, and Darrien’s first encounter with chili powder. I knew the stuff was allegedly addictive, but wow. He grabbed a fried potato that had been dusted with chili powder, and sucked on it for maybe 250ms before making the most awkward face I’ve ever seen, and promptly giving the potato piece to Maria. Sorry, I would have never been able to get the camera out in time for that!
He continued to make some funny faces while dissolving the remaining capsaicin from the inside of his mouth, then reached for another one. Its times like this I wish I could have a permanent baby cam! Well, you can see from the pictures that he was very excited to be there.
DarrienLopez.com is back up and running
After much unfortunate hassle, our little guy’s site is back in full swing! Email and all… (and gently tuck in a corner of his new place 🙂
Many great pictures and videos to come
